As the resident volunteer designer for Comfort Station gallery and community space, I jumped at the chance to create graphics for the launch of middlebrow beer’s Comfort Ale, a collaboration between the local brewery and the non-profit to support Comfort Station’s future programming efforts.
We created social graphics and a postcard for Comfort Station’s annual chef’s dinner at Lula Café where guests were able to get an exclusive preview of Comfort Ale before its launch at middlebrow.
To tease the beer’s official launch, I designed a system of promotional graphics that married together the two aesthetic worlds of Comfort Station and middlebrow brewery by creating a series of intoxicating textures using images from past events at the space.
Finally, I collaborated with the team at middlebrow to create a can label for Comfort Ale should the beer become popular enough to expand production to sell at local retailers.
